Name the hard squares

Before moving, identify the cells that can be reached from only one direction. Those are the squares most likely to survive an otherwise successful board. Work toward them while the move count is generous.

Use the centre as a generator

Central matches create options and cascades, but they are a means rather than the objective. Build special pieces in open space, then direct their effect toward the jar, edge or layer that ordinary matches cannot reach reliably.

A ribbon for a clean rescue

Mark the ribbon when the final target is cleared without a purchase or added move. If the board ends first, keep the observation and try another day. The marker celebrates the method, not unlimited retrying.
