01
Create room before chasing points
Score runs become more flexible when blockers are cleared and central lanes stay open. Use early moves to create space; save a colour-clearing effect for a board with enough pieces of the chosen colour to justify it.
02
Compare like with like
Different games calculate points in different ways. Keep the comparison inside one title, one mode and one session. The useful question is whether your setup produced a longer cascade or cleaner finish, not whether a raw number transfers between games.
03
Keep the competition friendly
Platform leaderboards can show recurring or all-time results, depending on implementation. Read the board label and reset window before comparing. A personal three-round set remains worthwhile even when you never post a public score.
