Read a Tournament Board
Reset windows, eligibility, ties and score submission rules: the labels that matter before friendly competition begins.

Find the timeframe
Leaderboards may be all-time, recurring or divided into daily and weekly views. A reset creates a new comparison window; it does not erase the skill represented by an earlier result.
Check the displayed timezone and close time. A label such as 'today' can refer to the platform's reset boundary rather than local midnight.

Check who appears
A board may show friends, a selected group or a wider public ranking. Privacy choices and platform sign-in affect who is visible. An empty social board does not mean no one played.
Eligibility can also depend on mode, version, region or an event opt-in. Read the rules beside the board instead of inferring them from a rank number.

Treat integrity as part of design
Google's platform guidance recommends score limits that can reject clearly impossible submissions. Players should still report suspected issues through the game publisher rather than targeting another player.
